Sam's first introduction to beekeeping was as a young 7yo on his grandfather’s farm. In more recent years, Sam has taken on his own hives after Sam's grandfather handed all of his equipment as he had no spare time to manage them. Both Sam and Bianca completed their Certificate III in Beekeeping through Tocal Agricultural College. Their combined interest in Honey Bees has continued to grow ever since.

The pair have managed their own small number of hives, moving bees around NSW with the support of family held property and also some prosperous local sites of beekeeping value.

Sam is currently involved in contract training VET students at Tocal College, and has had significant roles in the past with the NSW Amateur Beekeeping Association Hunter Valley Branch.
